Ministry Of Finance: From January To August, 77.5% Of The Annual New Special Bond Limit Has Been Reached, 10.8 Percentage Points Faster Than The Sequential Progress

Li Xianzhong, Director of the Treasury Department of the Ministry of Finance, said at a press conference that from January to August, special bonds for project construction and other projects issued by local governments amounted to 2.95 trillion yuan, reaching 77.5% of the annual new special bond limit, 10.8 percentage points faster than the sequential progress. Bond funds have supported a total of about 20,000 special-bond projects, which are mainly used in key construction areas such as municipal construction and industrial park infrastructure, social undertakings, transportation infrastructure, affordable housing projects, agriculture, forestry, and water conservancy.
