| Chinese Alumina Market Was Oversupplied in March amid Growing Production |

| China¡¯s metallurgical-grade alumina output rose 8.59% MoM and 4.73% YoY to 6.64 million mt in March, with the daily average output down 4,200 mt MoM to 214,300 mt. As of the end of March, the installed and operating alumina capacity across the country stood at 100.25 million mt and 78.21 million mt respectively, with the operating rates averaging 78%. SMM estimates that China recorded a net import of 80,000 mt of alumina and a supply surplus of 158,000 mt in March. |
