Jan 6 (LTIT) –According to data shared by the US Geological Survey, the United States aluminium plates, sheets and bars imports from Saudi Arabia decreased 890 tonnes or 12.45 per cent month-on-month to 6,260 tonnes in September 2020, following hikes in July and August. In August 2020, the US aluminium plates, sheets and bars imports from Saudi Arabia stood at 7,150 tonnes, up 570 tonnes or 8.66 per cent month-on-month. In July, the imports stood higher by 1720 tonnes or 35.39 per cent than 4,860 tonnes in June to 6,580 tonnes.
US aluminium plates, sheets and bars imports from Saudi Arabia increase 31.52% Q-o-Q in Q3 2020
In the third quarter of 2020 ended on September 30, the US aluminium plates, sheets and bars imports from Saudi Arabia totalled 19,990 tonnes, up 31.52 per cent from 15,199 tonnes in Q2 2020.
On a year-on-year calculation, the United States aluminium plates, sheets and bars imports from Saudi Arabia in September 2020 stood up by 3.64 per cent from 6,040 tonnes.
During the first nine months of 2020, the United States imported 56,200 tonnes of aluminium flat rolled products from Saudi Arabia, an increase of 30.39 per cent year-on-year from 43,100 tonnes.
The United States total imports of aluminium plates, sheets and bars in September 2020 came in at 78,800 tonnes, bringing the imports during January-September to 809,000 tonnes. The imports in September stood down by 6.97 per cent month-on-month from 84,700 tonnes and 24.95 per cent year-on-year from 105,000 tonnes. |
